Q Is it true that only the foreign workers with E9Visa can transmit money to their family?

A Foreign workers staying or residing in Korea, or immigrants without E9 VISA can not be provided with the preferential remittance service for Asians.

Q Is it possible to transmit foreign currency at the ATM of different bank other than the ATM of Hana Bank?

A No, it is not available. Basically, the Hana Bank Check Card (cash withdrawal card) to be used at the ATM for foreign currency remittance allows the user to deposit or withdraw money into or out the foreign currency transaction account according to the previous registration, so that the foreign currency remittance service can be provided only at the Hana Bank ATM. However, other cash withdrawal service is available at the ATM of other bank with paying separate fees.

Q Is it legitimate that the fees for preferential remittance is cheap and one-day remittance is possible?

A Yes, it is. The service is based on the VOSTRO Contract between Hana Bank and the overseas bank with partnership. And the contract related to foreign currency remittance, which has been already concluded between our company and Hana Bank, is a completely legitimate process that does not violate the regulations in the Foreign Currency Exchange Act, so that it may provide quick, safe remittance with cheaper fees, allowing the receiver to withdraw the money on the same date of remittance.

Q Is there any limitation to the amount of money to be transmitted to the family in the home country?

A When foreign workers overseas immigrants staying or residing in Korea are transmitting foreign currency through the preferential remittance service, they can transmit money less than USD 10,000 a day. And the accumulated amount of money in a year is limited to 50,000USD.

Q How many remittance methods are there? And explain the methods.

A The remittance methods based on the preferential remittance service are as follows:
Firstly, a foreign worker may carry out the foreign currency remittance and account transfer by using a Hana Bank ATM with a Check-card issued by the bank.
Secondly, it is possible to carry out the foreign currency remittance and account transfer according to the voice guidance after connecting to the ARS service of Hana Bank by using a wire/wireless telephone.
Thirdly, it is also possible to carry out the foreign currency remittance and account transfer through the Internet Banking after connecting to the web site of Hana Bank on a PC.
Finally, you may visit Hana Bank in person to carry out the foreign currency remittance and account transfer by using the bank book you have established through the help of counselor who speaks in your native language, working at the counseling center of the company.

2. Types of questions related to mobile phone launching service

Q Is it possible to use a mobile phone right after registration when I enter Korea?

A It is not possible to use a mobile phone immediately if you do not use the system provided E9VISA Co., Ltd. That is because it takes about two or three months foreign workers entering Korea with the E9 Visa to get the certificate of alien registration, so that they may not use a mobile phone during the period.
However, our company provides them a solution for them to register and use a mobile phone immediately on the basis of the special corporate contract concluded with KY telecommunication provider.

Q What kind of things do I need for mobile telephone launching after entering Korea?

A You need to prepare only the passport, copy of E9Visa and the bank account number under your name, which has been issued by Hana Bank. Consequently, the mobile phone charge may be paid though your bank account which has been already established in order to receive the preferential remittance service for Asians.

3. Types of questions related to E9VISA Credit Loans

Q For what the E9VISA credit loan is granted?

A The foreign workers who have passed the EPS-TOPIK AND concluded an employment contract shall pay an educational institution a lot of training expense, as well as prepare the money for physical examination and airfare. And also, when entering Korea, they have to bring a lot of money along with them, which will be used for travel, mobile phone registration, homecoming expense, including living expenses during their stay in Korea, for a certain period of time after they start staying in Korea. This may be a big burden to the workers who have to prepare such a big amount. Q What are the requirements to receive the E9VISA credit loan?

A The qualified applicant for the E9VISA credit loan is a foreign worker who have passed the EPS-TOPIK and concluded an employment contract with a Korean business owner.

Q What is the maximum amount of loan, and percentage of the interest?
And how long does it take to get the loan?

A The maximum amount of the E9VISA credit loan is USD 2,300. And the repayment is based on the installment with same amount on the monthly rate of 3.5%. And within 3 days of loan application the loan amount will be deposited into the bank account of the applicant at the overseas bank, which has established a partnership with Hana Bank, with out any loan fees.

Q What is the qualification of a joint surety required for the E9VISA credit loan?

A A group of joint surety shall consist of three persons. And one of them must be a member of the borrower’s family(parent, sibling or spouse). And one or two of the rest may be one or two foreign workers who has/have concluded an employment contract with a Korean business owner after passing the EPS-TOPIK, or one or two person who has/have paid property taxes and possessed real estate in the local area.

Q What are the preparatory documents for the E9VISA credit loan?

A The preparatory documents include the passport, ID card, domestic relation certificate, employment contracted concluded with a Korean business owner, certificate of EPS-TOPIK, and the copy of the bank book issued by the bank which has a partnership with Hana Bank.

Q In what methods the E9VISA credit loan will be repaid?

A The installment payment to E9VISA Co., Ltd. in Korean currency starts about 3.5 months later when he/she can be paid the first salary after entering Korea. And then, the borrower shall repay the loan, making payments of installment on monthly basis for 12 months through transferring the installment to the bank account designated by E9VISA Co., Ltd head office in Korea. Consequently the total period of loan is about 15.5 months.
